The Project has consisted in comparing results from finite element (FEM), hybrid and Statistical Energy Analysis (SEA) numerical models with measurements on test facilities and with in-situ measurements in buildings as well. This has served to check their prediction accuracy, especially in what concerns noise and vibration transmission path analysis. Comparisons of predictions with noise regulations have also been carried out and new experimental methods for experimental SEA based on the direct transmissibility concept have been developed.
