HCI research at CGVR’13

The 2013 International Conference on Computer Graphics and Virtual Reality (CGVR’13) was held July 22-25, 2013, Las Vegas (USA). The most recent advances related to computer graphics and virtual reality were presented in this conference, which is celebrated every year. Tutorials, sessions, workshops, posters and panel discussions were included.

The Human Computer Interaction area of la Salle R&D presented 1 regular paper at CGVR’13 entitled:

“BodySpeech: A configurable full body animation system for speaking avatars” by Adso Fernández-Baena, Marc Antonijoan, Raul Montaño, Anna Fusté and Judith Amores. In this work ,a system capable of automatically generating gesture animations according to an input speech was introduced.

This work was presented in the “Virtual Reality + Graphics + Animation & Related Methods” oral session by Adso Fernández-Baena.
