Ambient Assistant Living (AAL)

This line is dedicated primarily to the use of ICT to facilitate the promotion of independent living and mobility of people, particularly the elderly. This area covers different subareas such as the development of applications based on Wii, which include supervision of physiotherapists, applications using augmented reality to overcome phobias, developing sound recognition algorithms to prevent accidents at home for dementia or Alzhemeir patients, besides developing natural and accessible multimodal interfaces, integrating intelligent sensor networks, smart fabrics, etc.
